The 2020 season was the inaugural season for the new North Community High School Soccer Team, the first soccer team at the school in over a decade. To grow our program we plan to grow successful, well rounded young men first.
The North Community High School Soccer Team is committed to giving students an opportunity to grow and excel on and off the field. Our focus will be to develop a community that supports our players academically, physically, socially, and emotionally. All North Soccer Players who participate in our program for four years will have an opportunity to attend college, and some of them will also have the opportunity to play soccer at the collegiate level.
The skill and talent in the North Community runs deep, and as we build our program focused on developing all aspects of our players lives, we know the talent and success on the field will eventually take care of itself.
Peter Branstad is the Head Coach of the new soccer team, and he also teaches Economics, Government and AP Government at North, as well as serving as the 12th Grade Team Lead at North Community High. Though his soccer coaching experience in the past has included only little league and middle school coaching, he has coached middle school and high school teams in a wide variety sports across all skill levels for the past 8 years. His coaching style relies on his ability to learn and adapt, to be creative, and to develop meaningful and lasting relationships with his players and between his players. Please reach out to Coach Branstad with any questions at , or call or text (612) 314-6081.
